Job Summary

The Technician, Web Support Publications creates, updates, and maintains all marketing materials for digital, printed, and social media platforms.

Duties

  • Creates and updates web pages, brochures, flyers, posters, booklets, and other digital and print materials
  • Creates social media content and promotes engagement between students and other organizations and groups within the university community
  • Performs administrative tasks, including, but not limited to, ordering office and other supplies, processing purchasing card charges, and reviewing and processing invoices
  • Trains and provides direction for student workers
  • Provides technical support for various applications and programs

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Associate Degree in Digital Media, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of related job experience, including experience in using Adobe Creative Cloud

License/Certification:

  • None required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Digital Media, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field is preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of digital and print marketing strategies appropriate for a higher education environment, and the related trends, issues, and accepted practices;
  • Knowledge of basic accounting and purchasing protocols

Skills:

  • Good technical skills, including proficiency in MS Office and SharePoint;
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Abilities:

  • Ability to produce reports;
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse university community

Work Location and Physical Demands
