Job SummaryThe Talent Development Specialist develops, updates and conducts professional development programs in support of the University's mission and provides support to the Talent Development team.
Duties- Participates in the planning, development, and delivery of course curriculum for University staff, including new hire orientation; coordinates logistics for training
- Oversees in the mandatory training process; enrollments, reporting, etc
- Assists with the new employee mentorship program
- Oversees learning management system; user support, creating courses, tracking attendance, reporting, etc
- Compiles data for departmental and institutional reporting needs
- Collaborates with communications unit to develop advertising materials for learning events
- Manages training room calendar and reservations and coordination of Talent Development materials, including snacks, name tags, new hire giveaways, etc

QualificationsRequired Education:
Required Experience:
- Minimum of one (2) year of related work experience
- Must have previous experience designing and delivering course content
License/Certification:
Preferred Qualifications- Experience managing a Learning Management System (LMS)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience compiling reports
- Advanced proficiency in Excel

- Knowledge of trends, issues, and accepted practices relevant to the position
