Job Summary

The Manager of Web Development develops email templates for both internal and external communications for the University Relations department, as well as web templates and web parts to improve our users' experience.

Duties

  • Develops new templates, micro sites, pages, and reusable templates and web parts
  • Develops JavaScript-based front-end solutions for web projects
  • Provides support and guidance for any university web projects; provides guidance, support, and training to staff and student assistants on web standards, providing them with tools to help them improve and accomplish their web projects
  • Works with content creators to develop email templates that can be used on both Outlook and iModules platforms
  • Manages the scheduling and distribution of all email communications from the University Relations department
  • Develops and provides support for emails and web parts required for all emergency-related communications

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Associate's degree or up to three (3) years of college or technical school

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of related job experience

License/Certification:

  • None required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Higher education experience is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of web development, including fluency in any server-side scripting, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, responsive frameworks; knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud.

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills; strong project management skills.

Abilities:

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Ability to prioritize projects and tasks with conflicting deadlines;
  • Ability to assess individual project requirements and set accomplishable due dates.
