Job SummaryThe Labor Technician relocates and sets up furniture, and performs other miscellaneous functions in support of university events and projects.
Duties- Relocates, organizes, and sets up furniture
- Assists with event set-ups
- Assists carpenters, painters, and electricians
- Provides assistance as necessary in the A/C shop
- Cleans construction sites
- Operates machinery as necessary to complete tasks
Marginal Duties- Performs all other duties as assigned

QualificationsRequired Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) year of related job experience
License/Certification:
- Must maintain a valid, current driver's license

Physical Demands:
- Work involves moderate exposure to unpleasant elements, such as adverse weather conditions, extreme temperatures, oils, dirt, dust, fumes, and airborne particles
- Position requires maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting, standing, or walking for prolonged periods of time, as well as for bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, jumping, climbing, and frequent reaching
- May, on rare occasions, be required to work in a confined space, in a high, dangerous place, or be exposed to vibration
- Must have precise hand-eye coordination, good spatial awareness, and the ability to identify and distinguish colors
- Must have the ability to move items of up to 100lbs
