Job Summary

The Assistant Registrar, Articulation and Matriculation oversees the intake and processing of admissions documents, through the articulation of transfer credits, and determines the admissions decisions of undergraduate applicants.

Duties

  • Oversees the intake and processing of admission documents and the evaluation of transfer credit; makes admissions decisions.
  • Evaluates credit, test scores, and transfer credit appeals for undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Addresses the issues and concerns of applicants, students, advisors, and other staff regarding a student's admission and transfer credit record.
  • Hires, trains, and supervises support staff; coordinates work schedules.
  • Designs business processes to accurately disseminate transfer credit information.
  • Provides admissions advice to faculty, staff, educational office personnel from the military, and staff from other colleges on transfer courses, as required.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of four (4) years of related job experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of TES and the transferability of coursework from colleges and universities.

Skills:

  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in MS Office, Zoom, and PeopleSoft

Work Location and Physical Demands

Primary Work Location:

  • Works in an office environment

Physical Demands:

  • Work is performed in a typical, comfortable interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any unpleasant elements Individual has discretion in relation to walking, standing etc., and has minimal exposure to physical risks.
