Job Summary

The Assistant Director, Academic and Student Affairs provides direct people management of Office of the Provost staff while managing key processes, programs, and projects.

Duties

  • Manages resources and provide administrative oversight for projects in the Office of the Provost and across Academic and Student Affairs.
  • Supervises, assigns work, hires, schedules, trains, develops, evaluates, and directs personnel for projects in the Office of the Provost.
  • Develops and oversees the direction of electronic communications, including the posting of information and creation of emails and newsletters, from the Office of the Provost.
  • Assists with the creation of reports, presentations, and submissions from the Office of the Provost.
  • Develops and maintains systems for streamlining and archiving processes and documents in the Office of the Provost.
  • Participates in the development of and provides support for university-wide projects, events, task forces, and search committees.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience within an Academic Advising Center; experience working at an HIS or MSI institution; experience managing or coordinating staff.

License/Certification:

  • None required
