Job Summary

The Accounting Specialist provides accounting and administrative support.

Duties

  • Processes vouchers for payment and ensures the timely payment of department invoices.
  • Verifies enrollment status and applies scholarships to the correct student account.
  • Performs data entry tasks related to new hires and the termination of student workers of CCSEL.
  • Performs basic accounting tasks.
  • Performs general clerical and administrative duties as required.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Associate's degree

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of one (1) year of related job experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of basic accounting processes and protocols.

Skills:

  • Good technical skills, including proficiency in MS Excel and PeopleSoft; strong analytical and problem solving skills; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.

Primary Work Location:

  • Works in an office environment.
