Scope of Responsibilities
At UHD, Mr. Lipp is responsible for the university's efforts to build relationships between the university and the corporate community. This involves facilitating engagement reflective of the companies' desire to partner with the university, through curriculum development and recruiting to ultimately support efforts to seek corporate giving. A significant portion of Mr. Lipp's efforts relate to managing volunteers from the corporate and wider employer community. He assists leadership to ensure that curriculum is current and relevant, and making adjustments where appropriate. He is also responsible for building and maintaining university-wide relationships with companies, to support the various objectives of the university. He also identifies opportunities for companies to make philanthropic gifts in support of the university.
Mr. Lipp earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Southwestern University.
Paul Lipp served as Assistant Director of corporate relations at the University of Houston from 2006 – 2012. He was responsible for managing a portfolio of corporate relationships to build broad relationships in support of university priorities. Mr. Lipp's other duties included developing a data management system for gauging corporate relationships and advising select university leaders on those relationships. He previously served as a development officer for special projects for the University of Houston and in various staff and leadership roles in the office of Texas State Representative Sylvester Turner.
