Scope of Responsibilities
At UHD, Ms. Bowen manages programs and projects to advance the University's academic mission and strategic goals. She provides leadership of special projects; researches and analyzes complex documents and proposals; collaborates in the development of programs and manages the adoption of new technology that enhances teaching, faculty development, and degree curriculum. Ms. Bowen also monitors procedures and criteria for faculty appointments, tenure, and promotion and oversees procedures for the student course evaluation process.
Ms. Bowen earned Bachelors of Arts from Texas A&M University and Sam Houston State University as well as a Master of Public Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is also a Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Blackboard Administrator.
Lucy Bowen has extensive strategic planning and implementation experience with several years of experience in higher education. She previously worked as UHD's Director of Academic Projects. Her work experience includes managing and leading teams as well as managing budgets and employees. Ms. Bowen has advanced project management skills in PMBOK & Six Sigma.
