Scope of Responsibilities
At UHD, Mr. Davis is responsible for development of external resources for the Retail Management Center. He teaches two courses per year and other duties as assigned by the dean. Mr. Davis is also responsible for promoting the Retail Management Center and curriculum to the retail industry, high schools, community colleges and other potential student groups. He develops paid internship opportunities for the Retail Management Center majors as well as other activities associated with the start-up of the Retail Management Center.
Mr. Davis earned his Bachelor Business Administration in Management from Our Lady of the Lake University. His certifications include: National Professional Certification in Retail Management and National Retail Foundation.
James Davis is a senior executive with over 40 years of experience in all aspects of marketing, advertising, retail operations, merchandising, forecasting and budgeting in the highly competitive supermarket industry. His background includes working with large chain operations as well as medium and small independent operations. Mr. Davis successfully grew revenue, reduced costs, increased efficiency and productivity, and improved store operations.
