Scope of Responsibilities
Ms. Davila is responsible for overseeing the network infrastructure (wired and wireless), directory authentication services, and server environments supporting applications such as Office 365, SharePoint, Blackboard, and Identity Management for the University community. In addition, she supervises a technical staff of 12 people; is responsible for budgeting and forecasting related to purchases and renewals of network equipment; and monitors applications and software supported by her department. Ms. Davila also documents system continuity of the environments Technical Services is responsible for in yearly assessments. She also participates in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Educational Qualifications
Ms. Davila earned her Master of Business Administration from Our Lady of the Lake University, Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and Associate of Science degree from Del Mar College. Her certifications include: Oracle Certification for database administration.
Professional Experience
A seasoned professional with over 37 years of experience in technology-related fields, Ms. Davila's experience also includes more than 29 years of experience with the University of Houston System at both the University of Houston and University of Houston-Downtown. She has held various positions, including developer and database administrator.
