Scope of Responsibilities
At UHD, Mr. Krishnan is responsible for program development for non-credit courses related to applied business and technology, middle and high school students' summer camps and programs for gifted students. He directs daily activities of the programs, personnel and student body. Mr. Krishnan creates policies, programs, curricula, recruitment and student materials. He also establishes budgets and manages all financial aspects of the department. Mr. Krishnan also hires, terminates, supervises, evaluates, trains, counsels and defines responsibilities of teaching and staff employees and is responsible for marketing of all the programs offered by the department.
Educational Qualifications
Mr. Krishnan earned his Master of Science in Engineering from West Virginia University and Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Osmania University, India. His certifications include: AutoCAD Certified Professional – Versions 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015; Certified MicroStation Professional and Certified AutoCAD Instructor.
Professional Experience
Mr. Krishnan has been teaching and consulting in CAD/CAM related fields for the past 26 years and managing one of the largest University-based continuing education programs in Houston. Mr. Krishnan has more than 28 years of experience in the field of Computer-Aided Design and Drafting. He has worked on numerous micro, mini and super-mini based CAD/CAE design systems and works closely with the Academic Provosts office and UHD faculty in developing high-quality programs and curriculum needed for today's marketplace.
