Scope of Responsibilities

As Executive Director of Process Improvement at UHD, Charles Rockwell is responsible for the overall process improvement efforts of the College of Business. This includes the development and revision of for-credit curriculum in graduate and undergraduate programs. He also facilitates process improvement initiatives for both the College of Business as well as throughout UHD.

Educational Qualifications

Mr. Rockwell earned his Bachelor of Science in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from Weber State University and his Master of Science in Management Science with an Organizational Behavior and Executive Coaching Concentration from the University of Texas at Dallas. He also has a Six Sigma Master Belt Certification (GE) and a Change Management Certification (PROSCI).

Professional Experience​

Mr. Rockwell's experience includes work with Cameron International as the Program Director for Organizational Change Management; Vice President of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality as well as Lean Six Sigma Corporate Director. His experience also includes working as a Quality Leader, Customer Quality Manager and Six Sigma Master Black Belt at General Electric Company as well as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager, New Product Introduction Program Manager, Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Manager Airfoil Manufacturing Engineering and Senior Manufacturing Engineering Consultant also with General Electric Company.
