Scope of Responsibilities
At UHD, Andrew Kuzmick oversees project implementation and budget allocations, manages project activity coordinators and their respective Project STAR components, ensures the project achieves all objectives and outcomes on time and within budget and coordinates data gathering and reporting with the project evaluator. Mr. Kuzmick also plans, implements and evaluates the Student Engagement Program; coordinates, schedules and facilitates monthly meeting with coordinators to ensure feedback and continuous improvement and adheres all federal, state and local policies, procedures and reporting timelines. He works closely with key program personnel, including the project evaluator, Director of the Office of Institutional Research, principal investigator, two co-principal investigators, Director of Institutional Assessment and the Office of Institutional Effectiveness.
Mr. Kuzmick earned his Master of Science in Reading Education with a Reading Specialist Certification and Bachelor of Arts in Education with dual certification in Elementary and Special Education from Marywood College.
Mr. Kuzmick's experience includes more than 29 years with UHD, including 28 years of those years as a lecturer in Developmental Reading, American Studies and Freshman Seminar. He's also worked as a Dual Credit Program Coordinator, Academic Coordinator for the Freshman Summer Success Program, the Connections Mentoring Program Coordinator and Director of Project GRAD College Institutes at UHD. In addition, Mr. Kuzmick's work includes positions as a Reading Coordinator for the Department of English, Dual Enrollment Program Coordinator and SAT PREP Program Coordinator.
