Scope of Responsibilities
Allison Alexander manages the Events and Conferences Department at UHD and is responsible for overseeing scheduling, planning and logistics for all campus events and conferences, including those for University departments, faculty and staff as well as external clients. She also serves as chief liaison between the client and University departments, including facilities management, information technology, catering, safety, legal counsel, marketing and other departments to ensure event objectives are met. Ms. Alexander manages the facility rental process, including contracts, billing, layout, design, and staffing for all space rentals and services at UHD.
Alexander earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of
Texas at Austin.
Ms. Alexander has more than 10 years of event operations experience, including work with Sotheby's Chicago and New York locations where she assisted the contemporary art team in events, contract negotiations and art consignment. Her experience also includes operating all events for the Menil Collection and large-scale events and operations with the Houston Astros, including Jay Z and Beyonce's "On the Run" tour, Taylor Swift's "1989" tour, Opening Day and the MLB Civil Rights Game.
