UHD COVID-19 Response Matrix

The table below, adapted from the Task Force recommendations, summarizes the status of campus services and operations under each of the four COVID-19 Response Steps.

*Governing health and safety protocols are followed for all response steps listed below.

Class Modalities

Classes will be scheduled in Hybrid, Face-to-Face, Online, and Online Interactive formats.

Classes with on-campus components will be limited, with specific course activities approved by Provost’s Office (e.g., critical instruction needs; specified lab experiences with reduced numbers for enhanced health and safety protocols.)

Hybrid, Face-to-Face, Online Interactive operate as scheduled if densities are viable. On-campus classroom activities should be limited to allow for appropriate social distancing and significant decreases in population density on campus.

On campus academic programming increases, with a target minimum of 60% of classes offered in Face-to-Face and Hybrid formats, and 40% remote Interactive modalities.

Staffing

Essential personnel, as well as those necessary to fulfill mission critical needs, will continue to work on campus. Most other staff will continue to work remotely.

Campus access may be limited to specific entrances.

Faculty

Faculty may access campus for critical research needs and office access.

Faculty teaching Face-to-Face, Hybrid or Online Interactive classes, and those involved in research or needing office access will be on campus.

Campus access may be limited to specific entrances.

Faculty reporting to campus should abide by all health and safety precautions – including effective social distancing

Return to normal campus engagement by faculty.

Students

Students are only allowed to come to campus for class or to engage with specific student services with an appointment.

Students in classes that meet on campus are allowed on campus during the time surrounding their class meeting time, in between classes or for appointments.

Students allowed on campus for classes and to access student support services and engage in campus activities as they become available.

Campus is open, with access at all entrances.

Return to normal campus engagement by students. Students have full access to all student support services or activities.

Buildings

Campus is open for essential personnel, and faculty having critical research needs and needing office access.
