Charge
The Academic Assessment Committee serves as a forum where representatives from educational programs can exchange ideas on assessment and strategies for improving learning and effectiveness. The Committee provides leadership in building and sustaining a culture of assessment at UHD, organizes an annual rubric-based evaluation of assessment reports, recommends assessment initiatives, and provides technical support and communication to programs on issues related to assessment.
Composition
The membership of the committee consists of one faculty representative from each academic department and one representative for University College, chosen by the college deans, one faculty representative for General Education appointed by the General Education Committee, and one administrative representative appointed by the Provost, the Executive Director of Assessment & Accreditation Assistant Directors of Assessment.
