 STAR Program CEO students
University College 2018 Summer Fast Track Institute

Students conditionally admitted to the University of Houston-Downtown must complete the following steps to meet the condition of admission and enroll for the Fall 2018 semester. Time is of the essence so we encourage you to take action as soon as possible.

1. Complete the TSI Assessment
Students attending Texas public institutions of higher education must be in compliance with Texas Success Initiative (TSI) and have TSI scores submitted to UHD. Students must submit TSI scores to qualify for participation in the Summer Fast Track Institute (SFTI).

Alternatively, you can retake the TSI Assessment and if you score college ready in all sections, you will not need to take any developmental classes. UHD's Testing Services offers the exam on campus Monday-Friday. You can view their website to find out more information.

2. Apply for the Summer Fast Track Institute (SFTI)
The SFTI is a free two-week summer bridge program from June 18-June 29 designed to improve your TSI scores in math, reading, and/or writing. You will receive daily instruction, college success skills, and the opportunity to retest for the TSI. SFTI is designed to make you ready to achieve success from the moment you begin classes at UHD. The SFTI can help you avoid having to take and pay for remedial classes that will not count toward your major degree.

To sign-up, click on SFTI 2018 Application link below. The deadline to sign-up is June 8th.
