Freshman Learning Communities

Freshman Seminar Classroom

Most Freshman Seminar sections are "linked" to another core course. This means that students will enroll in both the Freshman Seminar section and the linked course at the same time (with some exceptions).  Such a linkage is called a Freshman Learning Community. A Learning Community allows students who share the same interests and major to attend two classes together. Participating in a Learning Community gives students a special opportunity to make friends, find study partners, and build supportive relationships that can last throughout their college journey.
