The Center for Teaching and Learning Excellence (CTLE) calls for proposals from UHD faculty (tenured, tenure-track, non-tenure track, and adjunct) members and staff who are interested in presenting a standard format presentation, round-table discussion, or presenting an electronic poster about their projects at the UHD Teaching and Learning Symposium to be held Friday, November 9, 2018, 9am-4pm, in the Academic Building's ACAD 300 Conference Area (Houston Room, White Oak Bayou Room, & Buffalo Bayou Room). Read below for more details. Applicants are not required to have a CTLE-funded project to present at the symposium but those with currently or previously CTLE funded/supported projects or communities (i.e. CI2, HIPs, Online, Freshman Seminar, Teaching Circles, etc.) are strongly encouraged to present.

Selection Criteria for Proposals
The session is likely to accomplish the outcomes stated in the proposal.
The session will be conducted in appropriate ways for the chosen session format.
The session is likely to be a model of excellent teaching and learning.
The work to be presented incorporates previous research, theory, evidence, and/or assessment. It is not heavily anecdotal.
Innovation and applicability
This session will address ideas, topics, or practices that are highly relevant and significant with regard to excellence in teaching and learning.
This session will describe innovative or creative practices
The material is likely to be applicable to other campuses, institutions and/or programs; it is not highly institution-specific.
The session will cover interventions made possible by support from the CTLE.
