​​M. Hovsepian began teaching at UHD in 1994 while still working on her dissertation.  She was awarded a PhD in History (1996), a MA in History (1992), and a BA in History (1988) all from the University of Houston.  She has served in various capacities at UHD over the years--PQE Grant Institutional Director for UHD (2002-06), CHSS Faculty advisor (1999-2012), Visiting Assistant Professor, Lecturer and Senior Lecturer.  Dr. Hovsepian has been Program Director for the Interdisciplinary Studies degree (BS IS) since 2012.
