An additional resource is the Center for Educational Policy Research. It provides a copy of Toward aMore Comprehensive Conception of College Readiness by David T. Conley at Pathways to College Net. This document was prepared for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in 2007. Among the other works authored by Conley and available in the W. I. Dykes Library is College Knowledge. What It Really Takes for Students to Succeed andWhat We Can Do to Get Them Ready.

College Readiness research suggests multifaceted approaches to foster student success. These include transitional programs (orientations), summer programs, college success programs, course redesign, early interventions, learning communities, supplemental instructors, and partnerships between secondary schools and universities.UHD has implemented all these approaches.
