STEP 2: ORANGE
Effective March 22, all Spring 2021 classes will be conducted using the instructional delivery mode originally scheduled. For example, if a spring class was scheduled to be online, it will remain online. If a spring class was scheduled for some on-campus campus engagement (face-to-face classes, hybrid classes, and the on-campus portions of remote interactive classes), then that

- While the Governor’s Office has issued an Executive Order that includes ending the state’s mask mandate, all UHD safety protocols remain in place until further notice. These include required masks/face coverings on campus at all times; signing in at designated entrances; maintaining proper distancing in hallways, classrooms and public spaces; and a four-person limit on elevators.
- Based on COVID-19 Response Task Force recommendations, the status of UHD operations and classes for spring 2021 will be guided by UHD’s Response Matrix and other guidance from state officials and health professionals.
- As a state institution, UHD follows the directives of the Office of the Texas Governor. By executive order, the Governor has moved Texas into Phase Three of his reopening plan, in order to safely and strategically restart and revitalize all aspects of the State of Texas, including schools and universities.
- UHD will communicate updates via the website and other campus communication mechanisms.
