Freshman Convocation highlights the beginning of your journey towards graduation and the fulfilment of your personal, academic, and professional goals. We are eager to recognize your entry into our university community with this annual celebration that honors you, the entering freshman class. Families are invited to join in the festivities. Who Is Required to Attend?

You and your fellow freshmen are expected to attend Freshman Convocation. 

Team activity at Convocation 2015How Do I Prepare for Convocation?
The best way to prepare for convocation is to read My Grandfather Would Have Shot Me: A Black Woman Discovers Her Family’s Nazi Past, the common reader you received at Gator Ready Day. We encourage you to participate in the contests associated with the book. Bring your enthusiasm for making new friends. Team activities are an important aspect of our celebration. ​

Place: 3rd Floor Academic Building, Robertson Auditorium

*Registration and light refreshments are available beginning at 9 am. ​
