The Academic Support Center at UHD offers support for students to improve individual writing, reading, statistics, and freshman math skills.
The Center for Mathematics & Statistics Support is a walk-in tutoring service available to all UHD students. The center is staffed with mathematics and statistics faculty and student peer tutors. Tutoring is available for developmental courses, and mathematics and statistics courses.
The aim of the CLCC is to tutor and mentor all Mathematics, Computer Science, Science, and Engineering scholarship recipients, Mathematics majors, and/or Computer Science majors who are enrolled in Mathematics and Computer Science courses. As students collaborate, the younger scholars will learn to be the best they can be from the examples set forth by our upperclassmen.
The UHD Algebra Student website provides additional resources and links to help you succeed in Math 0300, 1300, 1301, and other courses.
The Department of Computer and Mathematical Sciences allow students to bypass the following courses, Math 1301 and Math 1505, provided they pass the corresponding bypass exam. The exams are given several times a year.
UHD student calculus resource website is for students who are enrolled in Calculus 1: Math 2401 courses at the University of Houston-Downtown.
Our mission is to foster student learning through peer-led teams by supporting practitioners and institutions.
