Timor Sever

​Mr. Sever obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Houston in 1988 and a Master's degree in Mathematics from the University Houston in 1989.  Mr. Sever became a full-time employee at Houston Community College in the mathematics department in 1992.  He became the Department Chair of Mathematics at HCC – Central in 1995. He served in this capacity as Department Chair from 1995 – 2015.

In addition, Mr. Sever has been the Program Coordinator for Mathematics at HCC since 1998.

Academic Interest

Mr. Sever research interests are in the areas of algebra, and topology. In addition, he is involved in research efforts centered on improving student learning and success through the development and implementation of intervention strategies in developmental mathematics.
