Dr. Avrithi is an assistant professor of structural analysis and design at the University of Houston – Downtown. She has an extensive industrial experience in the analysis of structures and mechanical components. Her research interests lie in the areas of structural engineering, optimization, reliability and risk analysis. She is member of ASCE, ASME, ASEE, ASTM, and ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section III committees. She has very good knowledge of French, German, Italian, and Greek.
