Jamil Thorne recently joined the university as Assistant Director for Graduate Services. He is responsible for recruiting and admissions efforts in the Marilyn Davies College of Business MBA program.
In 2012, he started his career in higher education as founder of the Jamil Thorne Diversity Scholarship program along with holding positions such as Associate Director of Academic Advising and Senior Enrollment Counselor at leading for profit university.
He also spent time as well in the corporate world in HR/Talent Acquisition as a Senior Recruiter, Leadership Development Associate, and Business Development Manager for leading natural specialty retailer Sprouts.
In 2018, Jamil joined UHD as an Admissions Counselor in the office of undergraduate admissions.
In June 2018, Jamil completed a Master of Science in Higher Education in Enrollment Management & Institutional Marketing from Walden University.
