Dr. Rauniar has over 5 year of consulting and project management experience. He has been a certified project management professional member (PMP) since 2002.

His research interests are primarily in absorptive capacity and technology transfer, new product development and project management, e-commerce and information systems, and knowledge integration.

His significant research publications have appeared in the Decision Sciences Journal, International Journal Of Production Research, International Journal of Logistics: Research and Applications, Journal of Enterprise Information Management, Journal of e-commerce Research, International Journal of Electronic Business, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, International Journal of Production Economics, Journal of Information and Knowledge Management, OilPro, etc.

Dr. Rauniar was the recipient of 2013 University of Houston-Victoria Research and Scholarly Award and Saint Edith Stein Excellence in Research Award in 2010 from the University of St. Thomas (Houston, TX).

He also received Bloomberg Businessweek Teaching Awards in 2014 and 2016 at University of Houston-Victoria.
