Marilyn Davies College of Business Scholarships

Scholarships are a great way to help you pay for your college education.

Scholarships are awarded on a variety of factors and do not have to be repaid. They are designed to reward, encourage and assist you in pursuing academic excellence and leadership roles.

At UHD, Marilyn Davies College of Business (MDCOB) students can choose to apply for three different types of scholarships:

  1. Scholarships awarded by the MDCOB Scholarship Committee

Application opens April 13, 2020 through December 6, 2020 with May Priority Deadline May 24, 2020 at 11:59pm
**As of August 20, 2020, committee-based scholarships have been awarded for the Fall 2020 term. There are a handful of scholarships still to be awarded, and scholarship applications received to date will be used as the pool of candidates for future awards.**

Scholarship Award Process

  • Once scholarship awards have been disbursed to the student's account, funds will be available for credit toward the student's tuition and fee bill.

  • If funds awarded are in excess of the student's tuition and fee bill, a credit will be applied to the student's account and a refund may be issued through the University's refund vendor, BankMobile.

  • The Student Accounting Office is responsible for processing the student's refund payments.

IMPORTANT: Scholarship recipients must notify the Financial Aid Office

Your financial aid from all sources cannot exceed the cost of attendance established by the University. If you receive a scholarship, whether it is from the college or from a private source, you should notify the Financial Aid Office. We are required to review your aid package to make sure you are not receiving more aid than your total cost of attendance. In many cases we are able to include your scholarship or grant without adjusting any of your other aid, thus increasing the total amount of your aid package. However, sometimes we have to reduce or replace another form of aid. In that case, we always attempt to reduce or replace any loans that you might have been offered first. We strongly encourage you to explore all scholarship opportunities as valuable means to help finance your college education.
