Scholarships Awarded to COB Students by External Organizations

Each externally-funded scholarship will have its own unique guidelines in terms of criteria, frequency and timing of awards, the application and forms, deadlines and submission processes.

Deadlines vary and are set by the organizations awarding the scholarships.

Allied Van Lines Scholarship

American Van Lines Logistics Scholarship

North American Van Lines, one of the leading moving companies in the United States, is committed to supporting the community as well as the growth and development of the moving services and logistics industries. We believe education is the best way to ensure our industry has qualified professionals for years to come.
Because of this belief, we are proud to announce our first annual Logistics Scholarship contest. Five lucky qualified entrants will each win a $1,000 scholarship towards their degree in logistics or supply chain management at the college or university of their choice. Deadline is December 15, 2017.

APICS Scholars Education Program

Through the APICS Scholars Education Program, the APICS Supply Chain Council offers graduate and undergraduate student members free admittance to the APICS annual conference. Aside from the opportunity to experience the conference and network with active supply chain and operations management professionals, scholars receive complimentary conference registration, a stipend, and hotel accommodations either fully or partially paid.

Brown, PC National Founder's Scholarship-Undergraduate Student

Brown, PC is now accepting applications for the firm's National Founder's Scholarship, a $500 stipend which will be awarded to a current U.S. undergraduate student earning their bachelor's degree in business, with a demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship. Fifth-Year Accounting Scholarship

The Texas Public Accountancy Act provides for the establishment and maintenance of a scholarship program for fifth-year accounting students. The program is funded by Texas CPAs who contribute $10 annually to the scholarship program through their license renewal.

The purpose of the Fifth-Year Accounting Student Scholarship Program is to provide financial assistance to students intending to take the CPA examination as Texas applicants and ultimately to serve the residents of this state.

Houston District Export Council Scholarship

The Houston District Export Council is pleased to announce a competition for two scholarships of $3,000/year for students in the fields of international trade and business, exports, international transportation and logistics, for the 2020-2021 school year. Applicants must complete the attached Application form, and submit along with the required transcripts, statement of interest, and letters of recommendation.


Institute for Professionals in Taxation

The principal objective of the IPT Scholarship program is to provide an introduction to the
field for individuals who are considering or plan to pursue a career in state/local taxation,
either in the public or private sector.

Student scholarships are available for up to $2,000 in eligible costs associated with attending the IPT Annual Conference. The scholarship covers eligible travel and lodging expenses properly documented on an IPT reimbursement voucher. The Conference registration fee is waived for scholarship winners. Scholarships are available, on a limited basis, to full-time and part-time
students, including teaching and research assistants in select degree programs who demonstrate a manifest interest in a career in state and local taxation. Award recipients are chosen by the IPT University Relations Committee.

The IPT Annual Conference is being held in June in Chicago, Illinois. In addition to general sessions featuring keynote speakers, the program offers numerous general and breakout sessions focused on state business income taxation, sales and use taxation, property taxation, and credits and incentives. Brown, PC is now accepting applications for the firm's National Founder's Scholarship, a $500 stipend which will be awarded to a current U.S. graduate and undergraduate business students with a demonstrated interest in entrepreneurship. The award will be paid directly to the student, and can be used for any expenses related to education, including but not limited to tuition, room, board, books, or commuting expenses.

Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship Program

Through the Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners Foundation supports the education of students who have an interest in pursuing a career in fraud examination. The scholarship provides an opportunity for students to advance their education and anti-fraud career paths. Many of these outstanding and deserving students go on to become Certified Fraud Examiners.

Sam Haskell Scholarship

The Sam Haskell Scholarship will award one high school senior, current college, or graduate student with a $1,000 scholarship.

Sam Haskell founded this annual scholarship with the understanding that many students do not have the financial means to further their education. Sam has been a lifelong patron for higher education and has helped many young people achieve their academic and professional goals.

Each year the Transportation Club of Houston proudly offers scholarship awards to deserving students in transportation and related fields such as warehousing, supply chain logistics, and international business logistics.

Scholarship opportunities are available to qualified students sponsored by a TCH member in conjunction with a faculty member.
