Academic Advising Center (AAC) advises 4500 students each term. All new and continuing students are serviced in the AAC until they are formally declared, in good standing, and have
45 accumulated hours. The AAC advises post-baccalaureate students pursuing second bachelor’s degrees or leveling coursework for graduate/professional programs and all former/returning students who do not meet declaration requirements. The center also provides pre-advising services to prospective students.
The Academic Advising Center is a dedicated team providing quality academic services essential to first-time in college freshman, continuing, transfer, and non-traditional students. The Center promotes retention and student success by empowering students to actively engage in making academic decisions appropriate for their chosen fields of study, guiding students through academic processes and procedures, and connecting students to resources designed to support them academically, socially, and personally.
The Academic Advising Center will provide comprehensive academic services leading students to become proactive participants in their educational experience, while gaining the skill sets needed to become global citizens ready to enter and advance in the workforce.
