PERSONAL TRAINING BACKGROUND
Barry Bune is not your ordinary AFAA Certified Personal Trainer. This Iraqi War veteran moves beyond simple encouragement to deliver a hard-core military style of motivation, pushing you to reach your full potential. Having served on active duty Army for 4 years, in the Army National Guard for the last 5 years, and a Drill Instructor for Juvenile Probation for 3 years, Barry's style is unmistakably "in your face"! Barry is very personable and surprisingly easy to talk to after you get past the intimidation factor. He did not get into personal training until a slightly later age, 30. He got into personal training after seeing the effects of aging and a slowing metabolism on his own body. Barry is committed to helping you identify your training goals and will provide the motivation to help you reach those goals!
PHILOSOPHY OF FITNESS
Barry believes that everyone has what it takes inside them to achieve their personal goals and it is his mission to pull that out of every client. His aim is to push his clients past their preconceived limitations.

WHAT YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW...
Barry rides a motorcycle. He loves to lift weights. He doesn’t like cardio AT ALL, but he does because he HAS to!

Rhon has trained at UH-Downtown the longest out of all our trainers, and during that time he has built up a clientele base of over 30 people. As busy as his schedule been during his 5 years of training, this AFAA Certified Personal Trainer keeps every client’s workout personalized for their needs.

PHILOSOPHY OF FITNESS
Clients training with Rhon should expect a high energy and challenging workout. He operates with the mindset that all of his clients will work towards AND achieve their desired goals.

WHAT YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW…
Last year Rhon was recognized by the UHD for maintaining an honors level GPA.
   
   
PERSONAL TRAINING BACKGROUND
Jeremy became a trainer because he enjoys meeting new people and helping them achieve their fitness goals. Another factor in his decision to train is because his health is important to him and exercise and nutrition is very important to everyone's overall health. Jeremy began training at UH-Downtown in March 2010 and brought with him his very enthusiastic and honest approach to training. He is certified through AFAA and holds a B.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Houston.

PHILOSOPHY OF FITNESS
Jeremy wants to help others with the entire picture when it comes to taking care of physical health. He likes to encourage his clients and is not big on being mean or “drill sergeant” with his approach. He strives to teach his clients the benefits of exercising and how it can improve their life.
WHAT YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW…
Jeremy is a big movie watcher. He snatches movies up the moment they come out! He also knows how to cook.
   
   
PERSONAL TRAINING BACKGROUND
Troy was trained through AFAA to become a personal trainer and began working at UH-Downtown all in the summer of 2010. He has worked as a Sqaud Leader in the United States Marine Corps so he is no stranger to getting folks motivated and moving. Troy’s progressive style of training is based on an individual’s goals and current fitness level. He works to create a truly customized training plan.

PHILOSOPHY OF FITNESS
Top priority for Troy as he works with clients is to work together to reach the goals set by the client under his guidance; with the ultimate goal being for them to live a happier, healthier life.
WHAT YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW…
Through all of Troy’s experience with football from 5th grade to his senior year in high school, 5 years of Marine Corps training, playing rugby at UH main campus, and now working as a personal trainer a UHD, he knows what it takes to get and STAY in great physical condition.
