Research Centers
Unlike many universities where only graduate students are able to work on serious research projects, UHD research centers give undergraduate students the unique opportunity to work side-by-side with experienced faculty in a variety of disciplines.
Programs in the College of
Sciences and Technology:
- The Center
for Applied Polymer Science Research allows students to participate
directly in basic and applied polymer research projects that are of
academic and industrial significance.
- The Center for Computational
Sciences and Advanced Distributed Simulation involves students in
formally assembling a human resource base in the field, performing research
that supports funded activities, developing software and investigating
new technologies which respond to funding agency needs.
- The UHD Scholars Academy is an academically competitive program in the College of Sciences and Technology that promotes scholarship and student success for undergraduate students majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
- The UHD Student Research Conference (SRC) is a campus-wide event with the opportunity to view research and project posters, along with oral presentations from students in the College of Sciences and Technology, Colleges of Business, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Public Service.
