More names will periodically be added to the list as suggestions are collected from UHD's Web site. Please note that the names on the list are simply a list of MANY of the suggestions that have been received. Inclusion on this list does not mean the name meets or does not meet the Naming Criteria Guidelines, it simply indicates the suggestion has been received. The Name Review Group will narrow the field of names during the course of the Fall 2008 Semester and suggested semi-finalists and finalists will be part of an open, Web-based voting process. Ultimately the results of the process and resulting of the implications of a name change will be reviewed by the UHS Board of Regents. The Board and the Texas Legislature must approve a name change for UHD.
