What makes the perfect essay?  What do college admissions offices look for in a personal statement?  During this week-long seminar and workshop created by Writers in the Schools (WITS), you’ll read and analyze writers who work in memoir, non-fiction, and essay, and you’ll practice successful personal narrative techniques. Your instructor will examine with you the rules and guidelines that will help you write a better essay and breathe new life into an old form. By the end of the week, you’ll leave with an essay ready to submit to the college admission office.

Students entering 11th Grade and 12th Grade (Ages 15 to 17)
