This Writers in the Schools (WITS) session is designed to get young students excited about creative writing. Students will write daily and explore drama, short stories, and poetry. We will explore the nuts and bolts of writing, and through prompt-based exercises, we’ll help your young students develop their own voice, have fun with vocabulary, and allow them to use their imaginations. We’ll create new worlds and put thoughts down on paper. At the end of the session, students will perform finished pieces for you and your family in a celebration event, and they’ll leave with a portfolio of their own written work.
