Did you ever watch a cartoon with the sound turned off? It’s not nearly as exciting or engaging. Music speaks to the emotions, and the person who controls the music controls the heart-strings! That person is the audio engineer. In this course, you’ll learn about the physics of sound and the history of recording technologies. You’ll walk through the four stages of professional music recording projects: recording, editing, mixing, and mastering. Using Audacity, an open-source recording and mixing program, you’ll practice the techniques used by sound engineers to produce multi-track recordings. This is a hands-on course where you’ll learn the fundamental concepts of audio engineering.
