This workshop is a Literary Chapbook based writing project from Writers in the Schools (WITS). The workshop will focus on the writing process and address key objectives in language arts, including original voice, inventive word choice, sentence fluency, and clear organization. Students will create hand-made chapbooks, filled with their own selected writing. In addition, the WITS writer will help students create art pieces in relation to their own writing. At the end of the workshop, parents and family will be invited to hear students read their favorite pieces, and students will leave with their own literary chapbook. Students may be asked to bring extra art materials.
