Get Attention
Back to Prospective Students

Your academic achievement
is our number one priority.

UH-Downtown professors know that great teaching is the foundation for a solid education. When you walk in the door of a classroom at UHD, you enter an environment where your future matters.

You won’t get lost in a sea of nameless faces at UHD. There are no giant lecture halls, and classes are small enough so that your instructors know your name and can give you one-on-one attention.

You matter as a person. Find out more about services that help you outside of the classroom. To make sure you have the tools you need, hundreds of computers are available for your use on campus. The Academic Support Center blends computers with tutors who can help with reading, mathematics and writing, and preparation for the TASP (Texas Academic Skills Program) test. The W.I. Dykes Library is a great place to do research or study, with friendly, helpful staff who are eager to assist you.
