News Releases Up to News/Calendar | Media | News Release Archives New Horizons Celebrates 10th AnniversaryMilestone edition features new College of Business home(June 13, 2007) Ten years ago, the inaugural edition of New Horizons, UHD's quarterly publication for alumni, friends and supporters, coincided with the grand opening the Academic Building (west of the original One Main Building), and the Jesse H. Jones Student Life Center fitness facility (along White Oak Bayou). Two more buildings joined the campus in 2004 - the Commerce Street Building for the College of Public Service, and the renovated Willow Street Pump Station for community meetings and gatherings. This edition we are celebrating the 10 th Anniversary of New Horizons. It has a new look and feel and features yet another new building at Shea and North Main Streets, the new home of the College of Business. Throughout the past decade, New Horizons has chronicled the rich history of UHD and this edition does not disappoint. Read about campus expansion, faculty excellence, the 2007 Red Rose Ball, a recent farewell, new programs, and much more. As always, we thrive on your well-wishes and creative comments. Please keep in touch and let us know how you feel about the changes we've made. As always, your comments are greatly appreciated! Thank you, Celeste Zamora Editor, Spring 2007 New Horizons (Click here to view New Horizons online)
