(HOUSTON, Feb. 22, 2008)  UH-Downtown is hosting Destination UHD, the University of Houston-Downtown spring open house, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, March 29, 2008 in the UHD Academic Building. Public and visitor parking is available.

Prospective students, transfer students and families are invited to attend the spring open house.

Located on the northern side of the Central Business District in historic downtown Houston, UHD is one of four universities in the UH System. Established in 1974, the university has grown to almost 12,000 students with over 40 undergraduate and graduate degree programs, and makes student success its first priority.

Small classrooms, student diversity and attentive faculty are all reasons why alumni say they feel prepared for the 21st Century workplace. Student life, flexible class schedules and degree programs for the real world are reasons why students stay and succeed at UH-Downtown.

UHD faculty and staff will be available Saturday to welcome visitors for a full day of orientation, tours, financial aid information, previews of degree programs and a peek into student life. Get on the road to higher education! Make your Destination UHD!
