To borrow materials, please present a UHD identification card, a UHD
alumni card, or a valid ID card from any University of Houston campus
or distance learning center. UHD identification cards can be obtained
at Student Activities and Events in the Main Street Building (Room 204-South).
Semester stickers are no longer required.
Visitors from other Texas universities or public libraries may become
eligible for borrowing privileges at UHD by presenting a valid TexShare
card or HARLiC
card. For details, please ask about these services at your local
library. Local residents who are at least eighteen years old may apply
for an affiliate library card with valid photo identification. The annual
fee is $50.00. Visitors and affiliate borrowers may borrow up to four
books at one time.
Interlibrary loan and off-campus access to library databases are available
only to UHD students, staff, and faculty. Loans of audiovisual items
and course reserves are also restricted. For details, see Loan
Periods and Renewals.
Library cards are not transferable and may only be used by the cardholder.
Do not loan your library card to anyone or check out materials for other
people. If your library card is lost or stolen, please notify us as
soon as possible.
For more information about the library's circulation services,
please see Borrowing Library Materials.
