Borrowing and Returns
How Many Books Can I Borrow?
- Students and staff can
borrow up to 15 items at a time (5 compact discs or videos)
- Faculty can borrow up to 50 items at a
time (10 compact discs or videos)
- Alumni can borrow up to 4 books at a time
(no compact discs or videos)
- Affiliate, HARLiC, or
TexShare visitors can borrow up to 4 books
at a time (no compact discs or videos)
Overdue and Recall Notices
- Overdue and recall notices will be sent to the e-mail or
postal address in your library record.
- Please use My
Account to update your email or postal address to ensure
delivery.
- Failure to receive an overdue or recall notice is not grounds
for dismissal of late charges.
Returning Library Materials
- Return books to libraries at UH-Downtown,
UH-Clear Lake, or the University of Houston.
- Return audio and video materials to staff
at the library where they were checked out.
- Receipts for returned items are available
during library hours -- just ask a staff member.
- After-hours returns can be placed in a
drop box in the library's lobby.
