Joseph Westfall received a B.A. in philosophy and religious studies from Santa Clara University in 1997, and an M.A. (1999) and Ph.D. (2005) in philosophy from Boston College. He has held the position of assistant professor of philosophy at the University of Houston-Downtown since Fall 2005. He is the author of The Kierkegaardian Author: Authorship and Performance in Kierkegaard’s Literary and Dramatic Criticism (Walter de Gruyter 2007) and his current research is on the relationship of personal identity, fictionality, and ethics in cyberspace.
