Grove Art is the online version of the The Dictionary of Art (1996) and the Oxford Companion to Western Art (2001). It provides brief introductions to artists, art forms, art styles, and art terminology from prehistoric times to the present. Most articles have large lists of related articles and books. Many also have links to images of artworks from Grove collections and museum web sites. You can search Grove Art collections by keywords, or browse lists of articles by art form, geography, style and culture, or time period. |
