Database Description

Book Review Digest is an index to reviews of English-language books in journals, magazines, and newspapers. With coverage back to 1905, this database is our most comprehensive source for reviews of fiction and non-fiction books. It covers reviews of books for all age levels, but it does not cover reviews of textbooks, government publications, or technical books. Reviews published after 1983 may include excerpts of the original review. Look for the "Find This Article" link in each review citation to automatically check the library's print and electronic collections for a full-text version of the review.
