American National Biography

Database Description

American National Biography has short biographies of more than 17,400 men and women from all walks of life who have shaped the history and culture of the United States. Biographies are updated two times each year for accuracy and currency. Each biography has a list of primary and secondary sources. When appropriate, biographies also have notes about the location of the subject's personal papers and archives.
