Property Custodian

  • Each department is required to assign a person from within the department as property custodian.

Property Custodian Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with PS 07.A.01, department property custodians are responsible for the property management and control of University property as sited in the policy.

  • Property custodians should ensure that a "Request to Remove Capital Property" form is completed prior to removal of property off campus.

  • Each fiscal year, property custodians are responsible for requiring that a renewal of the "Request to Remove Capital Property" should be completed and signed by the Property Manager for property that is taken off campus.

  • Property custodians are responsible for completing the annual property inventory.
