Each department is required to assign a person from within the department as property custodian.
Property Custodian Responsibilities

In
conjunction with PS
07.A.01, department property custodians are responsible
for the property management and control of University property
as sited in the policy.

Property
custodians should ensure that a "Request
to Remove Capital Property" form is
completed prior to removal of property off campus.

Each
fiscal year, property custodians are responsible for requiring
that a renewal of the "Request to Remove
Capital Property" should be completed
and signed by the Property Manager for property that is taken
off campus.

Property
custodians are responsible for completing the annual property
inventory.
