Disability Services at the University of Houston-Downtown is committed to student success. In alignment with the University’s overall efforts, the Office of Disability Services strives to empower students, foster independence, and improve academic achievement and career development.
Our staff, along the UHD community, helps students to discover, develop, and reach their full academic potential and abilities.
The Office of Disability Services (ODS) provides accommodations, academic adjustments and/or auxiliary aids and services to UHD students who have temporary or permanent health impairments, physical limitations, psychological disorders, or learning disabilities. The ODS staff members serve as liaisons between students and faculty, administrators, and community agencies.
Note: If you are a returning student, to request accommodations for this current semester, please complete the Accommodation Request Form and return it to Disability Services. Upon submission of the completed Accommodation Request Form, it will take approximately 24-48 hours to process.
